Classical Myth in the Modern World

In-Class Work
There will be a
series of quizzes, both announced and unannounced, in
class writing assignments, group work and other in-class activities. There will be
at least one graded in-class assignment per week, typically a quiz on
Wednesdays.
Short Writing Assignments
There will be one short response paper every week, based
upon topics discussed in class. These papers will include accurate and specific
reference to course materials as well as your own personal response/opinion to this material.
A suggested topic will always be provided by the instructor. These weekly papers must be at least 600-words in length (two full pages) and follow
Prof. Sienkewicz' Writing Guidelines.
The instructor reserves the right not to
accept any paper submitted after the due date.
Final
Exam
This final take-home exam will be consist primarily of essay questions which
will allow you to demonstrate your familiarity with the use of myths in the
modern wrold and to make appropriate and significant observations about these
modern uses of myth.
