Twenty students, accompanied by three faculty
members, participated in a short academic trip to Rome over spring
break in March, 2009. During this trip they visited the following
sites: Vatican Museum; National
Museum; Capitoline Museum;
Bourghese Gallery; the Colosseum;
the Roman Forum; Trajan’s Column;
the Pantheon; the Altar of Peace of
Augustus; the Excavations under St.
Peter’s; and St. Peter’s
Basilica. They also participated in a papal audience in St.
Peter’s Square.Half the group took a day trip to Florence, while the
rest visited Ostica Antica, the ancient port of Rome. |
