With a quorum present President Laurie Jolicoeur called the meeting to order at 12:00pm.

President Jolicoeur spoke on having the pleasure today to honor the accomplishments and to be a part of the recognition being given to Janene Mattingly by the ACL, to Marilyn Brusherd by CAMWS, and to retirees Donna Watkins and Jacquelynn Urban by the Awards Committee.

President Jolicoeur then expressed thanks to Alice Mulberry and her Local Committee for handling the myriad of details that make for a successful convention. Alice, in turn, commended her committee members and especially Janie Zabur for her hard work with the local arrangements. Elisa Denja, on behalf of the membership, thanked President Jolicoeur for her leadership and guidance in making the conference possible.

Announcements: Ladislaus and Marie Bolchazy wished to call attention to their website for the abundance of teaching materials that is available, and they listed several items of interest.

Awards Committee: Elisa Denja honored retiree Donna Watkins for her accomplishments with a silver bowl. Thomas Sienkewicz then recognized retiree Thomas Watkins, who recently moved to Virginia, for his steadfast attendance at ICC conferences, and for his many contributions to the ICC including holding several offices which culminated with the presidency, and for making many excellent presentations at numerous conventions. Thomas then presented a silver bowl to retiree Jacquelynn Urban, who initially taught German, then Latin for 15 years at Monmouth H.S. All honorees were then given a standing ovation.

Resolutions Committee: James Chochola thanked Alice and Jay Mulberry, Janie Zabur, Marilyn Brusherd and Lois Dion for the local arrangements. He thanked Brian Lavelle for conference planning and Thomas Sienkewicz for seeing to the details of granting CPDUs. Finally he thanked John Makowski for his CCC/ICC luncheon presentation “Celluloid Caesar Salad” and then thanked all the conference speakers and presenters. A complete recognition will follow in the Augur.

President Jolicoeur concluded the meeting by thanking everyone present again for attending and wishing all of them a safe trip home.

There being no further business, Alice Mulberry moved, seconded by James Chochola, to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed by acclamation, and the meeting adjourned at 12:40pm.
