For this assignment you are challenged to retell the life of a famous woman (in history or literature) according to Lord Raglan’s hero pattern. This assignment has four parts:

1.)    A summary of the standard life of this woman. (Be sure to tell this biography in your own words, but cite your sources.)

2.)    A retelling of the woman’s life from the point of view of the hero pattern. Be sure to insert into this retelling number references to the points of the hero pattern.  You will find these points here: http://www.tomsienkewicz.com/Courses/Clas230/MythDocuments/HeroPattern/default.htm.

3.)    A list of the points in the woman’s life which follow the hero pattern. See examples here: http://www.tomsienkewicz.com/Courses/Clas230/MythDocuments/HeroineList.htm.

4.)    An appropriate image of your heroine. Be sure to cite your source for this image, not only with a URL, but with the name of the artist or photographer, date the image was created, present location, etc.
