Part II GEOGRAPHY Directions: Provide
some significant information about each of the places in Part I.
Relate each
place to specific characters and events in specific epics. Be sure to
explain what this information adds to our knowledge of
the epics.
Here are some examples of appropriate answers:
TROY: All of
the events in the Iliad take place at this city, including the quarrel of
Achilles and Agamemnon, the embassy of Achilles, and the ransom of Hector
PYLOS: The home of the hero Nestor, who appears in
both the Iliad and the Odyssey. In the Odyssey Telemachus
visits Nestor at Pylos while searching for news of his father Odysseus.
