The following CPL awards were announced at the 2002 CAMWS in Austin, Texas.

• best newsletter: Amici, the newsletter of the Classical Association of Iowa, edited by John Gruber-Miller
• best improved website: Ohio (http://dept.kent.edu/mcls/Classics/occ/) maintained by Robert Larson of Ravenna High School
• best CPL project: survey of high school and college guidance counselors by Sherillyn Martin of Illinois
• outstanding CPL projects: Wisconsin
• outstanding state VP: Alice Sanford of Tennessee
• outstanding regional VP: John Sarkissian of Ohio Valley
• outstanding high school promotional activity: Elizabeth City High School in North Carolina, Mary Carroll, teacher
