Call for Nominations
The ICC Awards Committee is seeking nominations for the following awards:
The Farrand Baker ICC Teacher of the Year Award
Qualifications: 1. exemplary teaching of Latin 2. outstanding service to ICC 3. dedication to the cause of Classics in the teacher's home community 4. participation
in regional and national organizations of the Classics The recipient of this award received a plaque and a $100 check at the annual ICC meeting.
ICC Retirement Recognition
Anyone who has been an ICC member for at least the five years prior to formal retirement from teaching will be recognized with a handsome certificate of gratitude at an appropriate ICC meeting;
The ICC “Lifetime Achievement Award”
The purpose of this award is to recognize those individuals who have made outstanding contribution to ICC and to the promotion of the Classics in the State of Illinois over at least a ten year period. These honorees receive engraved bowls at the ICC meeting.
Please send your nominations to the chair of the ICC Awards Committee: Dr Thomas J. Sienkewicz Nominations can be submitted at any time. The committee will review its pool of candidates annually, beginning in late August, just prior to the annual ICC meeting. |
