PRUNE APPLE CAKE

2 cups of sugar
3/4 cups of vegetable oil
3 eggs
3 cups of flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of cinamon
1/2 teaspoon of cloves
2 cups coarsely chopped apples
1 package (12 ounces or 2 cups) pitted prunes coarsely chopped
1 cup chopped nuts
12 oz. semi-sweet mini choc. chips. (optional)
powdered sugar

Beat sugar, oil, and eggs for two minutes.

Combine dry ingredients together and add gradually to the egg mixture.

Mix in prunes, apples, and nuts.

Spoon into greased and floured 10_inch tube pan.

Smooth top.

Bake at 325 degrees for about 1 1/2 hourd or until springy to the touch.

Cool in pan for 15 minutes.

Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
