Mushrooms Stroganoff
1 lb, mushrooms
Medium onion, chopped
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp olive (or vegetable) oil
1 tbsp paprika
4 tbsp flour
salt to taste (about 1 tsp)
2 tbsp sour cream
Gradually stir in water (or vegetable bouillon if you like it) to make a
smooth gravy.
Salt to taste and add more paprika if you want.
Just before serving, stir in a big spoonful of sour cream and warm the
mixture but don't let it boil before serving. If you want to, you can
cook a thinly sliced carrot with the mushrooms or add some other
vegetable you like. |
