Aunt Julia’s Macaroons
4 egg whites, beaten still
½ cup dry bread crumbs (unseasoned)
1 cup sugar
2 cans (cups) of coconut
Mix ingredients together. Then add 1 tbsp almond exstract and stir well.
Drop by spoon onto a greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
Let cookies cool on sheet before removing.
Makes c.3 dozen.
