AUNT JENNY CAKE This is a small chocolate cake with a fine texture. The recipe is one Gramma Kath has used for many years. She originally found it in an advertisement for "Aunt Jenny" brand shortening, so the name isn't a reference to a real person. The frosting is even better than the cake. Both recipes double well, if you want a larger chocolate cake or if you want to frost another kind of cake. AUNT JENNY CAKE 8 inch square pan, greased and floured 350 E 35-45 minutes
